Oh yes, we sold a couple of things.

I almost forgot to update the blog-o-sphere that the auction I blogged about here went very well.  It seemed as if everyone understood quite clearly that none of the items being sold had come from Villa Finale, and Gene Vogt, the proprietor of Vogt Auction Galleries mentioned throughout the evening that, indeed, these pieces were the remainders of Mr. Mathis’s estate.  Villa Finale made over $14,000.00, all of which will be placed in a restricted fund for the conservation of objects within Villa Finale’s permanent collection.  A great success!
